The garbage media in America either love or hate federal authorities, depending on whose political ox is being gored, as evidenced by the fact that most outlets are ignoring legitimate bombshell information that has been seeping out of the Trump administration now for weeks.
In late September, for instance, the Trump administration declassified documents indicating beyond any reasonable doubt that the Obama regime went to great lengths to set up his successor, President Donald Trump, in a scandal No. 44 and his co-conspirators no doubt hoped would drive the GOP outsider from office.
“Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham … released newly declassified FBI documents that contain this stunner: The bureau relied on a suspected Russian agent for the information it used to obtain a secret surveillance warrant against former Trump adviser Carter Page,” The Wall Street Journal editorial board noted in a Sept. 25 report.
“Four years into accusations about Russia-Trump collusion, we finally learn that Russia’s main conduit for disinformation may have been America’s FBI. Vladimir Putin must be howling with laughter,” the board continued.
And how.
Flashback to last year, when Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz revealed in his lengthy report that former British spy Christopher Steele, he of the infamous (and widely debunked ‘Russia dossier’), relied on a single “sub-source” for the salacious, and uncorroborated, claims he made against President Trump and the Trump campaign in general.
“This subsource was later identified as Ukrainian-born Igor Danchenko, who worked as a research analyst from 2005 to 2010 at the Brookings Institution in Washington,” the editorial board noted.
The disclosures by Graham revealed that Danchenko himself was the subject of an FBI counterintelligence probe, circa 2009-2011, over concerns that he was really a Russian agent and therefore “a threat to national security.”
The documents Graham released, which had been declassified by the Trump administration, indicated that Danchenko “attempted to recruit two individuals connected to ‘an influential foreign policy advisor in the Obama administration.’ He said that if they ‘did get a job in the government and had access to classified information,’ he had a way for them ‘to make a little extra money,’” the board wrote, quoting the documents.
The FBI found additional information linking Danchenko to a pair of additional “FBI counterintelligence subjects,” the documents said. In addition, he was in contact with the Russian embassy “and known Russian intelligence officers.” The FBI even went as far as applying for a FISA court warrant to put Danchenko under surveillance.
Ultimately, the investigation was shelved because Danchenko left the U.S. in September 2010.
But here’s the thing, the editorial board further notes:
The FBI identified Mr. Danchenko as Mr. Steele’s source in December 2016, when senior bureau officials also became aware of the prior FBI investigation. The FBI’s realization that it was being fed potential Russian disinformation should have put an immediate halt to the Page probe, if not the entire collusion investigation.
Instead and incredibly, the FBI failed to disclose this information to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in all three of its subsequent renewal applications against Mr. Page. U.S. Attorney John Durham first brought the Danchenko information to Attorney General Bill Barr’s attention and said its public release would not interfere with his investigation.
Additional documents released to Graham show that James Comey’s FBI also further tainted the Michael Flynn case, with agents involved even discussion the purchase of professional liability insurance in the off-chance (they thought) that their hoax would be exposed. “I’m tell [sic] man, if this thing ever gets FOIA’d, there are going to be some tough questions asked,” one of the agents noted, referring to the Russiagate probe as the Crossfire Road Show.”
There’s more, but all in all, the disclosures prove “that the great scandal of 2016 wasn’t Russian collusion. It was the unleashing of America’s premier law enforcement agency against a presidential campaign based on Russian disinformation midwifed and financed by the Clinton campaign.”
Incredible. Now, the real question becomes, who’s going to be charged with this obvious sedition?
