Steel Truth covers Donald Trump’s endorses Dr. Mehmet Oz for Pennsylvania Senate race – Brighteon.TV

President Donald Trump has endorsed media personality Dr. Mehmet Oz to replace retiring Republican Senator Pat Toomey in the Pennsylvania Senate.

But Trump’s endorsement of Oz for the state Senate race over the weekend did not get a “warm and fuzzy response from the crowd,” said “Steel Truth” host Ann Vandersteel during the May 9 episode of her program on Brighteon.TV.

In fact, Vandersteel shared, people have given the “thumbs down” to Oz as he was speaking to the crowd before Trump. Oz currently holds a thin lead in the polls and his celebrity status has made him a subject of intense scrutiny by his opponents, who questioned his loyalty to the country: He currently holds a dual U.S. and Turkish citizenship.

Other contenders for the Republican primaries are former hedge fund manager Dave McCormick and conservative political commentator Kathy Barnette.

A small business owner went public to say she felt very strongly that Trump made a mistake in endorsing Oz. She added that while they were friends long before he got into politics, “Oz is not a conservative. He is not a sensible baby, and he is not someone who would represent us.”

Instead, the business owner would prefer to vote for Kathy Barnette. “We have a true Pennsylvanian, Kathy Barnette, willing to fight for us, [a] strong conservative, strongly pro-life and represent our values and our families,” she said.

Barnette, who is running opposite Oz, is standing up against millionaires who are also members of the world economic force forum, calling out Oz and McCormick, who she said are globalist members of the WEF.

“They’re both part of the World Economic Forum. This is a very serious organization that has a mindset of pushing globalism and ESG (environmental social governance),” she said. Oz has the makings of another RINO, say many Republicans

Oz is known for his nationally-syndicated television program, “The Dr. Oz Show,” which ended with his Senate run.

His rise to fame began with frequent appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” where he appeared as a health expert before he got his own show in 2009. Winfrey is a known supporter of the Democrats, leading many to think that Oz is just another RINO or Republican in Name Only.

Oz also worked as a heart surgeon at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. His promotion of alternative medicines has made him a controversial figure in the medical community, with some doctors going as far as to publicly call for Columbia University, where he taught, to cut ties with the candidate. The university responded by removing his profile from its website following his entrance into the Senate race.

In his first campaign ad, Oz appealed to his medical background as he addressed the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. “They took away our freedom without making us safer,” he said.

His campaign site also noted his opposition to business shutdowns as well as his support for keeping children in schools. In an interview with Fox News, he clarified that he was opposed to vaccine mandates. Oz also touched on energy independence, which was one of the many issues that were highlighted in Trump’s endorsement statement. He stated that he supports slashing fossil fuel regulations to increase domestic energy production instead.

The rest of his platform runs with the GOP’s defining issues during the Joe Biden presidency, including election security, cancel culture and getting “tough on China.” He also poses more classic Republican positions on gun rights, the economy, immigration and abortions.

Other than Trump, Oz is backed by former Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry and Fox News personality Sean Hannity. Ohio GOP senate nominee J.D. Vance and former Republican presidential candidate and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson also showed their support.

Trump often describes his endorsements as “complete and total,” but they are not always ironclad. Last year, he endorsed Republican Congressman Mo Brooks in the Alabama Republican Senate primary race, but withdrew the endorsement in March when the campaign failed to gain ground.
