The Washington Times recently reported that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) whistleblowers have accused managers in multiple field offices of corruption and sexual harassment. That’s why more and more Americans are now looking at FBI agents with suspicion rather than respect.
“Current and former FBI leaders at the bureau’s offices in Miami, Salt Lake City, Buffalo, New York, and Newark, New Jersey, are facing whistleblower complaints,” the report said.
FBI agents and officials were integral to the now-debunked Russiagate collusion conspiracy that the bureau created, along with Democrats, against former President Donald Trump. There was also the recent FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, in which agents purportedly searched for government documents that Trump already had promised they could have if they asked.
Now, there are claims that supervisors coerced agents to sign false documents; fabricated terrorism claims to pump up their own performance stats; sexually harassed a female agent; and engaged in sex with a subordinate in a government vehicle and crashed the vehicle.
One female agent said FBI Director Christopher Wray and others ignored her claims of sexual harassment. She added that the bureau actually works under a “mob-like mentality.”
“The FBI is completely out of control and its culture and structure need to change. Not only is the political bias completely out of control and disgustingly obvious, the FBI knows they will not be held accountable for their illegal behavior and misconduct,” the unidentified agent said in a letter to Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert.
The Times said its information came from reviewing complaints or discussing the cases with the whistleblowers or their lawyers. The charges now are on the House Judiciary Committee Republicans and could become part of a wider review of the Department of Justice‘s conduct.
A whistleblower who was assigned to the Buffalo FBI office told the Times that FBI chiefs are concerned about the number of cases.
“It’s basically a report card for him, so at the end of his two-year term as a SAC [Special Agent in Charge], he gets moved to a better position down in Washington. And everything focuses around his metrics,” the whistleblower said.
“You have to have so many terrorism cases per year in your office, or else you fail. So they would come to us and say things like ‘Open up a case. I don’t care if it’s got merit or not. Just open it up. We only have nine, and we need 10 for me to pass.'”
Former FBI agent Kurt Siuzdak said that is the condition all across the nation.
“Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, there’s a number of field offices, and the SAC picks somebody for everybody to follow because it helps them with their metrics. So they pick somebody to scrutinize, often without merit from wherever, and that’s the bad guy you need to follow and put your assets on,” Siuzdak said.
The Times reported that Siuzdak now represents FBI whistleblowers. (Related: Ohio’s Jim Jordan puts Biden’s DOJ on notice, says more than a dozen FBI agents have contacted him as whistleblowers)
Meanwhile, FBI officials had informed agents not to investigate Hunter Biden’s so-called “laptop from hell” for months because of worries about influencing the 2020 presidential election, whistleblowers told Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson.
As stated by Johnson, “individuals with knowledge” of the Hunter Biden case reported to his office that the investigation was intentionally slowed on orders from “local FBI leadership.”
“While I understand your hesitation to investigate a matter that may be related to an ongoing investigation, it is clear to me based on numerous credible whistleblower disclosures that the FBI cannot be trusted with the handling of Hunter Biden’s laptop,” Johnson stated in a letter to Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
